👯Understanding Client Groups

What Are Client Groups?

Client groups help us track what type of patient someone is (insurance vs cash pay) and who acquired them (Berry Street vs provider sourced). When someone is entered into Healthie, a group is automatically assigned based on the appointment type they book or how they're added to the system. We also use client groups to determine how much you will be paid for sessions.

To view a patient's group in Healthie:

  1. Navigate to the patient's profile

  2. Look to the left-hand side in their profile under "Group"

The Four Main Client Groups

  • insurance This group is used for Berry Street sourced insurance patients, these are patients we source and send to you who are using insurance.

  • private pay This group is used for Berry Street sourced private pay patients, these are patients we source who have decided to go the cash pay route instead of using insurance.

  • provider sourced - insurance This group is used for patients that you or your practice acquires yourself. We process insurance all the same as above but we give you credit for bringing this patient in. You're free to set up you're own intake for this group if you'd like to request more than our standard information from these patients.

  • provider sourced - private pay This group is used for cash pay patients that you or your practice acquires. We let you set these patients up however you like and we only pay attention to the credit card charges that are processed. Any client groups that you create on your own are considered in this client group by our system.
