✨Appointments 101

Here’s the process that you need to follow for every insurance-covered appointment so that we can file the claims for reimbursement:

1. Prior to the appointment ensure that Berry Street has run a benefits check and that there’s information in the insurance eligibility section. See more in the RD Handbook.

2. Insurance companies pay for sessions in 15m blocks. They round according down/up at essentially the halfway mark to the next blocks. We’ve documented a table to explain this as well as common insurance terms here. Berry Street will only pay for the rounded time on the session and within any session limits noted in the insurance section.

3. Keep charting notes by using our provided templates. It’s not required to fill out completely but meant to pull useful information while also giving you inspiration.

4. After a session, you need to set the duration and status on the appointment which triggers us creating a claim. If this isn’t done, we won’t reimburse for the session.
